COLUMBUS, Ind. – The county’s travel status of a Warning Level (RED) has been extended until further notice. We will continue to evaluate the status and update when appropriate. Travel is hazardous and the roads are drifting and becoming snow covered behind our plow truck drivers.
According to the Columbus Police Department, the Department of Public Works is working hard to plow the main roads, but the snow is still coming down. The side roads are still very snow covered, as well as, many of the parking lots. Since 6:30 a.m. this morning, officers have responded to over 50 motorist assists. Most of these motorist assists are vehicles stuck in the snow.
ColumBUS Transit has been suspended for the rest of Monday, January 6.
Warning Level (RED) limits travel to emergency personnel or emergency situations only. Please stay OFF the roads.
Warning (Red)
