GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Greenwood Fire Department (GFD) recently welcomed Tyler Colon as its newest member of the team.
Before joining GFD, Tyler served active duty in the Army and worked as a Plant Operations Coordinator at Aurorium. His military background as a Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Specialist, including experience with a mass casualty decontamination team, sparked his interest in public safety.
During his time in the recruit academy, Colon says he looks forward to “growing alongside his peers, testing his limits, and sharpening the skills needed to serve the community.”
A GFD spokesperson said, “We’re excited to have Tyler at the Greenwood Fire Department as he takes this next step in his public safety journey.”
