EDINBURGH, Ind. – The Edinburgh Police Department and the Town of Edinburgh have announced that part of East Main Cross Street will be closed this Saturday afternoon and evening, December 14, to accommodate the Holiday of Lights Parade and Carriage Rides.
East Main Cross Street will be completely shut down from Walnut Street in downtown Edinburgh to Harrell Drive near Eastside Elementary School. Vehicle traffic will not be permitted from 4 to 8 p.m.
The road is closed to provide unobstructed carriage rides, and to ensure horses do not get “spooked.”
The two north and south crossings will be Main Street and Pleasant Streets.
