DELPHI, Ind. – The Carroll County trial of the man accused of killing two young teenage girls in Delphi almost eight years ago is over.
After deliberating for 19 hours, the seven women and five men of the jury on Monday found Richard Allen guilty on all four of the charges against him, two counts of murder and two counts of felony murder.
Allen was convicted of taking the lives of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, in 2017. He will be sentenced next month and could face up to 130 years in prison.
The highly publicized trial included 17 days of testimony. It is almost certain that Allen and his lawyers will appeal.
