COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Treasurer Barbara Hackman reminds residents that the deadline for paying your Bartholomew County Fall Property Taxes is Tuesday, November 12. They are due that day at the Bartholomew County Government Office Building, 440 Third St, Suite 103, in Columbus.
The office is open daily, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Election Day. For more information, call 812-379-1530 any weekday, or email treasurer@bartholomew.in.gov.
For the convenience of taxpayers, there are several ways citizens may pay their fall property taxes.
- MAIL – Remit Payment to Bartholomew County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1986, Columbus, IN 47202. (Must be postmarked on or before November 10 to be considered on time)
- IN PERSON – At the Government Office Building, 440 Third St, Suite 103, from Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- DROPBOX – Use the 24-hour drop boxes at the Government Office Building, 440 Third Street (across from The Crump), or on Franklin Street at the back entrance to the building
- BANKS – First Financial Bank, Jackson County Bank, Horizon Bank, German American Bank, and Centra Credit Union are accepting payments before the due date
- ONLINE or PHONE – Pay by credit/debit card or e-check at bartholomew.in.gov, or by phone, at 844-278-9126 (a convenience fee will be assessed for these options)
