COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Emma Grace Foundation will host Emma’s Day this Sunday, August 25, at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds from 1 to 5 p.m. The event is a community give-back birthday bash.
The Emma Grace Foundation was founded in memory of two-year-old Emma Sweet. Emma and her father went missing on November 25, 2021. After two and a half days of searching by family, friends, and law enforcement agencies, Emma was recovered in the White River just south of the Southern Crossing Bridge. Emma touched many lives in her two years. The foundation was formed to help children and families thrive to be the best they can and allow each child and family to grow, be part of events, and have joy no matter their struggle.
Many fun activities are planned starting at 1 p.m., including face painting, games, vendors, food trucks, bounce houses, and a selfie station. A silent auction will also take place throughout the event. Free meals and sweet treats will be made available.
Kids of all ages are invited to meet Disney Princesses and Spiderman at 1:30, followed by a live auction at 3 p.m., and a magic show at 4. Emma’s Day culminates at 5:00 with a butterfly release.
