INDIANAPOLIS – Crew Carwash, an Indiana-based family business, recently partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) for its 15th annual Crew for Kids fundraiser. There are Crew Carwash locations in Columbus and Greenwood.
On the Crew for Kids event date on Saturday, July 27, Crew committed to donating 50% of the proceeds from all Ultimate Washes sold at all locations to Big Brothers Big Sisters, along with all cash and credit donations.
The community and Crew Carwash raised $201,786 for Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across Indiana and Minnesota. Since Crew for Kids began in 2010, the company has raised over $1.2 million for the nonprofit.
“We are grateful for the sunny skies and generous customers who came to Crew Carwash to support Big Brothers Big Sisters,” said Darcey Palmer-Shultz, CEO of BBBS of Central Indiana. “The funds raised from this event will directly support our work to connect more young people with mentors, expand our mentoring programs and collaborations to reach more youth, and provide impactful youth development and college and career readiness programming.”
The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization matches kids with caring adult mentors to help support and empower them to reach their full potential. BBBS says it will use the money to create one-to-one mentoring relationships between “Bigs” and “Littles” in the community.
