NORTH VERNON, Ind. — The City of North Vernon is hosting a public hearing on Wednesday, August 7, for the Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program application process. It is an opportunity for those interested in receiving assistance with home repairs.
Eligible projects include roof repair or replacement, HVAC repair or replacement, light and electrical upgrades, water heater replacement, and ADA accessibility up to the threshold of the home.
To qualify, you must live within the North Vernon city limits and be a homeowner of a single-family residence with insurance on a permanent foundation. The home cannot be under contract sale or a rental, in a flood plain and meet income guidelines.
The hearing will be at North Vernon City Hall, 143 E Walnut St., on August 7, at noon.
