FREETOWN, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Force Construction Company is scheduled to close State Road 258 over Spray Creek on or after Monday, August 5, to complete a small structure replacement project in Jackson County.
The closure is approximately three miles east of Freetown, between Persimmon Lake Drive and North County Road 190W, and is expected to take up to 30 days. Crews will place signage in the area before construction starts.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows State Road 11 11 to U.S. 50 to State Road 135 back to S.R. 258.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
