INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) presents the Indiana Teacher of the Year (INTOY) program each year. It works to inspire, rejuvenate, and celebrate the teaching profession by recognizing outstanding teachers from across the state.
On Friday, Indiana’s top 25 Teacher of the Year award finalists were announced and a pair of local educators were among them.
The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation’s Molly Fountain, a teacher at Northside Middle School, and Mary Foreman of Franklin Community Middle School are two of the finalists.
The INTOY award is a lifetime role in education, which has many opportunities to celebrate teaching and uplift the teaching profession. INTOYs are a network of exceptional teachers who continually provide support to the education community.
