TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – One Tuesday afternoon, the Eastern Bartholomew Water Corporation (EBWC) reported a water outage for its customers in the Mineral Springs area, south of Columbus off of County Road 250E.
A main break caused the problem and EBWC representatives claimed that another utility company had damaged their water main.
They estimated that the repairs would be made by late Tuesday evening but once the water service is restored, customers will be under a Boil Water Advisory for the next 48 hours.
Any water consumed or used for cooking should be boiled for at least five minutes and cooled before consumption.
