GREENWOOD, Ind. – Registration is open for the 2024 Greenwood Police Department (GPD) Citizens Academy. Applications are being accepted through July 15.
This program hopes to educate citizens and community stakeholders on training, policies and procedures, and job responsibilities associated with policing.
The two primary goals of the academy are to provide community members with a better understanding of the police department and to open a forum for communication between the GPD and the public.
To apply, you must be a City of Greenwood resident, be at least 18 years old, and have no criminal history. You must also sign the required liability waivers and commit to attending all 11 classes.
