COLUMBUS, Ind. – Black History Month is quickly approaching and The Bartholomew County Black History Columbus Committee is planning for its first Diversity Career Fair and Black Business Showcase on February 20, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Nexus Park, 2380 25th St., in Columbus. It is free and open to the public.
The goal is to offer fair hiring opportunities to those who need employment, a second chance, a career promotion, or a fresh start. The event will also bring awareness to Bartholomew County’s locally owned Black businesses.
High school freshmen and sophomores will have a chance to gain 21st-century scholarship credit for job shadowing or community service hours by participating.
