NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Jennings County Sheriff’s Office SWAT members went to a residence in Vernon Township in reference to two subjects at the house with active Felony arrest warrants on Friday, July 21, at 6:30 a.m.
Both wanted subjects were located and apprehended. Charles L Perry, 33, was taken into custody for nonsupport of a dependent, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted Felon. Richard C Smith, 61, was arrested for possession of meth.
Items associated with illegal drug use were allegedly observed in plain view by SWAT personnel. A search warrant was granted for the property by Jennings County Circuit Court. Meth, drug-related items, and firearms were located and seized as evidence.
Additional charges were requested for Charlie Perry.
