COLUMBUS, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis has now declared a Winter Storm Warning for Bartholomew, Johnson, Brown, and Decatur Counties beginning early morning on Wednesday. The Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Wednesday.
Mixed precipitation is expected with snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches in the Columbus, Franklin, Nashville, and Greensburg areas. Winds could gust to 35 mph.
Motorists should plan for slippery road conditions that could impact the morning and evening commutes.
If you must travel during the Winter Storm Warning, NWS suggests you keep extra food, water, a flashlight, and a blanket in your car for emergency situations.
