COLUMBUS, Ind. – Two Bartholomew County residents were arrested by the Columbus Police Department (CPD) after a man was shot in the face with a pellet gun on Monday night. Officers responded to the 2100 block of Union Street at 6:30 p.m. to check on a disturbance taking place outside a home, per CPD’s Lt. Matt Harris.
Police say a man told them he had been assaulted and that Todd Carr, 58, of Columbus, had shot him with a pellet gun and tried to strike him with a metal pole.
Officers apprehended Carr, along with Lisa Davis, 48, of Columbus. Both had active out-of-county arrest warrants, per law enforcement.
Carr was first transported to Columbus Regional Health for treatment of injuries he sustained in the altercation before he and Davis were later remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail.
The male suspect was preliminarily charged with battery with a deadly weapon and a Johnson County warrant. Davis was preliminarily booked for a Jackson County warrant.
