FRANKLIN, Ind. – Wednesday morning, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested Evan Hill, 50, of Fairland, a former employee of Johnson County Community Corrections, and charged him with sexual misconduct and official misconduct.
His criminal charges are related to his duties as a Field Officer, which were to check on individuals on house arrest or work release.
“The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will not allow an employee of the county to conduct themselves in a manner that violates state law. We conducted this investigation working with the victim and her attorney. As the sheriff of Johnson County, I can assure that members of the sheriff’s office will conduct themselves professionally and ethically. If one of our employees violates the law, there will be consequences,” said Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess.
