NASHVILLE, Ind. – When Indiana brand expert Bob Blass opened his second business in Nashville, Indiana, with his Plāhaus tourist home, he had no idea it would become the most-wishlisted Airbnb property in Indiana. But that is the reality. Airbnb announced a list of the “most-wishlisted” properties throughout the United States this week.
Plāhaus was designed to attract urbanites, adventure-seekers, and home-design aficionados looking to enjoy the beauty of Brown County in modern style. Since opening his tourist home, Blass has become a five-star Airbnb host. His expertise in brand experience has elevated his tourist home above the competition.
“I stood on the spot this home is built on many times, nearly a decade ago, thinking: this would be a great place for a guest home that people can enjoy up here in the trees,” said Blass. “And that dream has become a solid reality. As a host, I strive to deliver my guests an experience of peace, beauty, and community…just as I have found here.”
Plāhaus, a German-sounding take on the word playhouse, is Blass’s creative vision come to life, honoring the entrepreneurial drive of his German immigrant grandparents and his parents’ support for his artistic talent. He saw the opportunity to set his vision into motion when he served on the steering committee for the Brown County Music Center, which highlighted an obvious need for additional visitor accommodations.
The home features a mix of steel, metals, concrete, light wood-grain paneling, oak and slate floors, modern furnishings and lighting, and finishes suited for an episode of HGTV’s Dream Home.
Blass is a prominent Indiana brand expert whose talents have elevated several national high-profile brands. He has also leveraged his talents in helping local Brown County and Nashville startups, organizations, and initiatives promote their brands with top-level professional design and marketing.
