COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting is this Wednesday, March 26, at The Commons from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The buffet line will open at 11:10 a.m. for those who want to arrive early.
It is the community’s largest business gathering of the year. Public parking is available in the parking garage at 4th and Jackson Streets.
During the luncheon, the Chamber will present this year’s Community Awards, recognizing outstanding leadership, businesses, and contributions that make Columbus thrive. The awards include the Edna V. Folger Teacher of the Year Award, Excellence in Business Award, Project of the Year Award, and Community Service Award.
The event’s highlight will be the keynote address delivered by former resident Scott McKain. He is a Crothersville High School and Franklin College graduate and was a broadcaster in Columbus, Franklin, and Indianapolis. He lived in Columbus in the early 1980s.
The Jackson County native is a world-renowned speaker and author who has traveled the globe delivering keynotes for over 40 years. In his presentation, “What to Do When ‘Great’ Isn’t Good Enough to Grow Your Business,” McKain will challenge you to rethink your approach to success.
