INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced this week that the November unemployment rates for Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, and Jennings counties were slightly higher than in October.
For Bartholomew County, the November rate was 3.7%, up from October’s 3.5%. The county reported 42,676 employed residents out of a 44,289-person labor force.
Johnson County’s November rate was 3.5%, an increase from 3.3% in October. Employed workers totaled 87,346 from a possible 90,492.
Jackson County recorded a 3.4% November unemployment rate, just above the 3.3% registered last month. The county reported 22,282 employed residents out of a 23,078-person labor force.
The Jennings County rate for November was 4.1%, higher than 3.8% in October. There were 13,320 workers out of a possible 13,890.
Indiana DWD officials announced last Friday that the overall Hoosier unemployment rate for November was 4.4%, holding steady from October.
