SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one-vehicle, single-occupant fatal crash on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve near County Roads 900N and 675W.
The initial law enforcement investigation indicates that the vehicle left the roadway, over-corrected, came back across the road, and struck a tree. The crash is still under investigation.
The Shelby County Coroner has not yet released the name of the deceased.
