COLUMBUS, Ind. – Two of the biggest companies in Bartholomew County collaborated to donate $20,000 to help Bartholomew County residents during the 7th annual Give Back event at the United Way building on Tuesday afternoon.
Representatives from Cummins and Toyota Material Handling presented $5,000 checks to four local United Way-certified charities to help them make an impact in Bartholomew County.
Jennifer Rumsey, CEO and President of Cummins, Inc., and Brett Wood, President, and CEO of Toyota Material Handling North America presented the checks and explained how these agencies are critical to the social service sector in Bartholomew County.
The organizations that received donations are:
- Community Center of Hope
- Su Casa
- Just Friends
- Family School Partners
United Way of Bartholomew County president Mark Stewart said, “Cummins and Toyota are essential to building a stronger, more vibrant community and are outstanding corporate partners to the social service sector. Their generosity at this event is in addition to their strong support for United Way’s campaign, agencies, and community in general.”
