COLUMBUS, Ind. – There are two run/walk opportunities in Columbus for early risers on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, and both support good causes.
The Turkey Trot is an untimed 5K Walk/Run that starts from Hamilton Center Community Center and Ice Arena at Lincoln Park at 9 a.m. Gather your friends, family, and dogs for a morning of fitness and philanthropy.
While there is no registration fee for the Turkey Trot 5K, donations towards the Chuck Wilt Youth Scholarship Fund are appreciated. Every contribution counts and helps make a difference in the lives of deserving youth who otherwise would not be able to participate in Parks and Recreation programs. Register online here.
For those who get up even earlier, you can run/walk in the 5K on Turkey Day to benefit Love Chapel.
Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8:00 at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds. The Entry Fee is $30 and you can register here.
“Wobble before Gobble” and start your Thanksgiving Day at the 5K on Turkey Day. You are also asked to bring three cans of food to donate to Love Chapel.
