COLUMBUS, Ind. – REACH Columbus, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through Its “Day Program,” participants build life skills, develop friendships, and enjoy exciting, hands-on activities that strengthen their connections to the community.
The company recently recapped its impacts this year.
In July, REACH Columbus opened a new location to accommodate more of the community. Transportation is more accessible than ever, with two new buses and a third generously donated—making it easier to bring participants to and from programs, fostering independence and peace of mind for their families.
The nonprofit’s first See Me Fashion Show in September was a joyful event where participants hit the runway to share their unique personalities with the community. It raised over $40,000.
Through the REACHability program, hands-on training prepared adults with disabilities for employment and volunteer opportunities, giving them a sense of pride, purpose, and community involvement. The program educates local employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and supports participants in developing skills to succeed in the workplace.
