COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Heath (CRH) has announced two important health screening opportunities for the public in November.
CRH Breast Health Services will present a free clinical breast screening event on November 9 for those whose insurance does not cover breast screenings. Also, throughout November, the hospital’s Lung Care Team will provide low-cost lung scans to anyone eligible who hasn’t had a lung scan before.
If caught early, 95% of breast cancer cases can be successfully treated. CRH is hosting a free clinical breast exam, to detect possible breast cancer and provide referrals if a mammogram is needed, this Saturday, November 9, from 8 a.m. to noon, at 2325 18th St., Suite 220. Registration is required by calling 812-376-5136. If you are 40 or older, click here to see if you should register for your free exam.
This is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and Columbus Regional Health offers reserved appointments for patients needing a first-time lung scan on November 9, 23, 29, and 30. Scans are $25 and will not be submitted to insurance. Payment is due at the time of the test. Eligibility requirements can be found at crh.org/events. Those who have had a previous scan will be scheduled on another date.
