COLUMBUS, Ind. – Dorel Juvenile Group, Healthy Communities, and Columbus Regional Health are collaborating on an Infant Safety Trade-In event this Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Dorel Juvenile Group parking lot, 2525 State St., in Columbus.
This is a great opportunity for parents, guardians, and caretakers of young children to get safety checks, trade-ins, and more on the equipment you use to secure and transport the kiddos.
Some infant-inclined sleepers, padded crib bumpers, sitting devices, and rockers are dangerous due to the risk of suffocation. At the Infant Safety Trade-In, residents can exchange unsafe items for safe infant items at no cost.
The first 50 people to bring an accepted item will receive their choice of a free baby item, while supplies last. Free items are limited to one per person, no matter how many things you turn in.
Accepted trade-in items include:
- Padded Bumpers
- Inclined Sleepers
- Recalled Sitting Devices
SafeKids will be there with trained Child Passenger Safety Techs offering free car seat checks ensuring youngsters are in the right seat and that seat is installed correctly.
