WAYMANSVILLE, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Force Construction Company is scheduled to close State Road 58. approximately 2.3 miles north of Waymansville, on or after Monday, September 9. Crews will complete a culvert replacement project in Bartholomew County.
S.R. 58 will be shut down just south of West County Road 700S and is expected to take up to 30 days, weather permitting. Signage will be placed in the area before construction begins.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows I-65 to Exit 55 (S.R. 11) to S.R. 258 back to S.R. 58.
This project is part of a $4.5 million contract awarded in May 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. Schedules are subject to change.
