NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded Friday to an address in Country Squire Lakes after a report of two individuals being struck by lighting.
When deputies arrived, they discovered an 18-year-old male and a teenage female juvenile, who is nine months pregnant, in a tent outside of their residence. Both had been struck by lightning inside of their tent.
Law enforcement rendered aid until Rescue 20 arrived.
The two teens were treated for their injuries and are in serious, but stable, condition. JCSO said it had received information that the baby was also okay.
