COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Police Department (CPD) Officer Andrew Plank received a letter of commendation from Mayor Mary Ferdon on Tuesday at the City of Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety meeting at City Hall.
The commendation was for his heroic efforts in rescuing a mother and her eight-year-old child from the river near Mill Race Park last month.
