COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department announced Monday that the 2024 Jack Cramer – Ideals of Athletic Competition award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at 5 p.m. in the meeting rooms at NexusPark (2252 25th St.-entrance 2). The public is invited to attend.
The 2024 recipients are Sarah Frasier and Steve Souder.
The award is in memory of Jack Cramer, a former local athlete who was only 33 years of age when he died in 1978. It is presented annually by Columbus Parks and Recreation to a man and woman in senior high through adult-aged athletes, coaches, or sports organizers.
