INDIANAPOLIS – The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says a Flood Watch is in effect for several counties in South-central and southeastern Indiana through late Tuesday night. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Portions of south-central and southeastern Indiana, including Bartholomew, Jennings, Decatur, and Brown Counties are affected.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are predicted throughout the day on Tuesday. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Residents should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action if Flash Flood Warnings are issued.
