COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) has provided a video update on Envision 2030, a long-range modernization plan in its early stages. All improvement projects are tax-rate neutral, allowing BCSC to provide up to $306 million worth of upgrades to several schools without negatively impacting the community’s tax rate.
BCSC has not seen this scale of facility improvements since most of its buildings were originally constructed in the 1950s and 1960s.
Renovations at Parkside Elementary are almost complete. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 5.
Makeovers have begun at Schmitt Elementary and the Johnson Early Learning Center.
In 2025, Northside Middle, Smith Elementary, and Mt. Healthy Schools will begin renovations, and construction on the new Westside Elementary School will start.
“Future Phase Projects” at East, North, Columbus Signature Academy, Southside, Rock Creek, and CSA Lincoln Elementary Schools are scheduled to be finished by 2030.
