COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday the addition of two new D.A.R.E instructors.
Deputy Anthony Bagby and Deputy Elizabeth Moore have been chosen to be a part of the team, which brings the total number of Sheriff’s Office D.A.R.E instructors to five.
They join Sgt. Andrew Whipker, Deputy Jessica Pendleton (School Resource Officer for Flat Rock-Haw Creek School Corporation), and Deputy Max Medina.
The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program was founded in 1983 as a law enforcement-led series of classroom lessons. It teaches young students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives.
