JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. – A two-vehicle accident at around noon on Wednesday has claimed the lives of two people and injured a third.
The fatal crash, involving a car traveling west and a pickup truck heading east, occurred in the 2200 block of East U.S. 50 near Brownstown.
Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer said that the driver of the car, Trawaun Litzlbauer, 20, of Indianapolis, and his passenger, Stanley Baughman Jr., 67, of Medora were killed.
The 43-year-old driver of the pickup, from Seymour, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The accident closed U.S. 50 for about two hours for crash investigation and cleanup.
