FRANKLIN, Ind. — A man has been taken into custody by law enforcement in Kentucky after he robbed a gas station in Franklin on Thursday night.
Nathaniel Smith, 34, allegedly robbed the Phillips 66 station at 400 E. Jefferson St. just before 11 p.m. and left in a white Toyota Corolla with an unknown amount of cash, per the Franklin Police Department.
Kentucky State Police found the suspect and arrested him on unrelated charges, according to law enforcement. Officials said Smith is being held “pending formal charges and transport back to Indiana.”
The investigation into the supposed armed robbery is ongoing.
