INDIANAPOLIS – State Sen. Greg Walker (R-Columbus) will serve as chair of the Interim Study Committee on Child Services and as a member of several other committees in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.
Walker’s other assignments include the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight and the Native American Indian Affairs Commission.
“As a legislator with years of experience serving on the family and children services committee during the session, I hope to apply my knowledge of this topic area as we review processes and reports to see what we can do to better protect our young Hoosiers,” Walker said.
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council which is comprised of 16 voting members, eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
