COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Bartholomew County man was taken into custody on charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon after an argument involving three people on Friday morning.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to the 1300 block of Jonesville Road at around 7 a.m. after a neighbor reported hearing an argument that included a threat to use a firearm, according to law enforcement. When deputies arrived they found the three involved were Braden Kleinhenz, 35, of Columbus, along with a 30-year-old female and a 54-year-old male.
All were detained and a firearm was found at the scene. It was determined that Kleinhenz was the aggressor and had supposedly come to the residence uninvited with a firearm, per BCSO. It is alleged that Kleinhenz pointed the firearm at the other two individuals while making threats to them, as well as battering them causing minor injuries.
The suspect was arrested and transported to Columbus Regional Health for jail clearance. He was then taken to Bartholomew County Jail where he is being held on a 48-hour hold. He was preliminarily charged with pointing a firearm (2 counts), intimidation with a deadly weapon (2 counts), battery with bodily injury, and domestic battery with bodily injury.
