COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) took a Columbus man into custody early Wednesday thanks to the help of K9 partner Frizko.
Deputies went to the 16200 block of E. County Road 265N at about 4 a.m. to serve an arrest warrant on Devon Burton, 29, on the charges of Domestic Battery on a pregnant female, resisting law enforcement–bodily injury, and three other counts of resisting law enforcement.
When BCSO arrived, the homeowner informed deputies that Burton was inside the residence. The suspect allegedly refused to exit so K9 Frizko was deployed. The K9 found Burton hiding in a front-load dryer a short time later and he surrendered without further incident.
He was transported to Bartholomew County Jail for the warrant where he remains without a bond.
