NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The City of North Vernon is seeking sponsors for city events. The goal is to strengthen relationships with family and friends, by providing fun opportunities that build community engagement to make North Vernon a great place to live.
Through generosity and partnership, the city hopes to keep these family-friendly events free of charge.
For the second year in a row, this summer, there will be a “Family First Fridays” series in June, July, and August utilizing the amphitheater at Tripton Park, as well as the new city pool and playground. June will provide a magic show from Kentucky-based magician Brad Brown Magic. In July, an outdoor showing of “Top Gun: Maverick,” the 2022 hit movie of the year, is planned. And in August, a free, pre-return-to-school pool party is scheduled for the city pool. Food trucks will be at these events.
