COLUMBUS, Ind. – Heritage Fund has welcomed three new community leaders and supporters to its Board of Directors. Board members will serve four-year terms with the option for a renewable term.
Phil Luzius is an accomplished entrepreneur born and raised in Columbus who has a passion for public speaking and consulting with companies to help them grow. Luzius has used innovation and disruptive thinking to create success in both the startup and global corporate world.
Courtney Metzger has served as the CEO of Bartholomew County Rural Electric Membership Corporation since March 2020. She previously worked at the National Rural Utility Cooperative Finance Corporation in the D.C. area. Prior to that, Metzger was employed by Kenergy Corp., an electric distribution co-op in Kentucky.
Kathy Oren serves as president and CEO of the Community Education Coalition (CEC), a not-for-profit organization working in partnership with business, community, and education to align the region’s education system with economic growth and quality of life, with a foundational focus on equity. Prior to CEC, Oren worked for Cummins Inc. for 22 years in the Engine Business Unit.
Board members retiring in 2022 were John Burnett, Matt Kirr, Mark Levett, and Norbert Nusterer.
