EDINBURGH, Ind. – The Edinburgh Police Department (EPD) has been awarded the IPEP Safety Grant in the amount of $23,800.
The announcement of the grant came on Wednesday and the gift was designated for two UAW Drone devices and new bullet-proof vests for EPD’s reserve officers.
The drones in the new Edinburgh Drone Program will be used for crash investigation, locating missing or lost children, building and fire inspections, and other tasks.
