COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office K9 Szabi has now received his bullet-and-stab-protective vest, thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The police dog’s protective outerwear was embroidered with the sentiment, “In memory of K9 Diesel EOW 11-14-2020.”
BCSO announced last week that it had received a donation from Vested Interest in K9s, and Szabi was officially given his new vest on Monday.
The Vested Interest in K9s program is open to U.S. dogs that are at least 20 months old and are actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies.
