SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Seymour Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a dumpster fire on Monday. Instead of a dumpster fire, it turned out to be a trash fire inside of a garbage truck.
Thanks to the driver’s quick actions, he was able to find a safe open area to offload the trash and save the truck.
Foster Brothers Excavation and Crane was contacted to respond with an excavator to spread the trash allowing firefighters to get all materials in the fire extinguished.
The Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department also assisted with with a tanker for water supply.
